The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council addressed the issue regarding operation of the Eurasian Economic Union and its bodies as of January 1, 2015

December 23, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (EESC) held its session in Moscow. The Summit was attended by the leaders of the Member-States of the Customs Union (CU) and Single Economic Space (SES) the President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, as well as by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) was represented by its Chairman, Viktor Khristenko.


A discussion of operation of the EEU and its bodies as of January 1, 2015 became one of the key matters of the session.


The summit participants signed a number of decisions related to the EEU bodies’ activity regulations, formation and operation of the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.


The Heads of States signed the Treaty on the accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.​
