Sevak Sarukhanyan is the Executive Director of ACSR from July, 2015.
Before joining ACSR he has been a visiting Fulbright scholar at the Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies (CERES) of Georgetown university, Washington DC. He worked as a deputy-director of "Noravank" scientific-educational foundation from 2005-2014 and leaded the Center for Political studies.
Sevak Sarukhanyan holds a PhD in Political Sciences from Russian State University for Humanities (2006). He is specilaized in political and economic processes in the Middle East and South Caucasus, Iran's security policy and relations with neighbouring countries and also issues of energy security. He is an author of 3 books and more than 30 articles on Iran, regional security in the Middle East and South Caucasus.
